An Israeli citizen born abroad, and who has permanently lived
outside of Israel before the age of 16, is entitled to a Son/Daughter
of Emigrant status.
In order to obtain this status, the following must be submitted:
- Original Israeli passport
- The original passports of both parents, regardless of nationality
This is for minors only (citizens uner
the age of 18).
- Registration
for an Israeli National Abroad Form - Completed and signed
- Registration
and Personal Request Form for Overseas Personnel for Military
Service - Completed and signed
- Request for Defer Reporting
for Military Service Form.- Completed and signed
- An original letter from the applicant's high school, addressed
to the Consulate General of Israel confirming that he or she
studied there as a full-time student. The letter should indicate
the dates the student has studied there, and when he or she
is expected to graduate. A transcript will not be accepted.
- A copy of a document indicating the citizen has legal status
in the U.S.
i.e.: U.S. passport, resident card, or U.S. visa
Note: A minor must have BOTH
parents sign all forms in front of a Consular employee or a
notary public.
