Israeli soldiers whose parents are permanently residing outside of Israel are entitled to a “Hayal Boded” status. In order to register as a Hayal Boded the parents of the soldier must proceed as follows:
Arrive at the Consulate in person and provide the following:
- Signed declaration that states permanent residence address
- Detailed list specifying ownership of property in Israel, if any
- Declaration specifying whether parents can financially support the child while he/she is in the army.
Make a photocopy of all pages of the parents' passport(s) and present them to the Consul with the original passport.
All the material above must be forwarded to the son/daughter serving in Israel. He/she will then forward the material to the Mashakit Tash who will determine the rights granted. |
