Exemption from Military Service by Law

 

Exemptions are given to married women, pregnant women, and women with at least one child.

Married Women

Please provide the following information:
  1. Registration for an Israeli National Abroad Form - Completed and signed
  2. Registration and Personal Request Form for Overseas Personnel for Military Service - Completed and signed
  3. Marriage Certificate with an Apostille stamp.
  4. Notification of Marriage Form - completed and signed

 

Pregnant Women

Please provide the following information:
  1. Registration for an Israeli National Abroad Form - Completed and signed
  2. Registration and Personal Request Form for Overseas Personnel for Military Service - Completed and signed
  3. A medical letter confirming pregnancy. The letter must also be approved by the Consulate’s Trusted Doctor.

Note: Call the Consulate for more information regarding the Consulate’s Trusted Doctor.

 

Religious Women \ Ideological Reasons

Relief from service for women for religious reasons or ideological reasons.
Please provide the following information:

  1. Registration for an Israeli National Abroad Form - Completed and signed
  2. Registration and Personal Request Form for Overseas Personnel for Military Service - Completed and signed
  3. Two declaration forms that are signed in front of the Consul; the Consulate provides declaration forms.
Note: Exemptions from military service for the reasons specified above must be corroborated by two witnesses who are residing in Israel.
