Registration for an Israeli Born Abroad

 

A child born to an Israeli citizen (including children born outside of Israel as first generation children of parents holding Israeli citizenship) is considered an Israeli citizen. The child must be registered as a citizen, must possess an Israeli passport when traveling to Israel, and must arrange his/her army status once sixteen and a half years old.

Note
: Only the parent who is an Israeli citizen can sign the request forms for the passport.


The following must be provided:

  1. Original Birth Certificate and Apostille
  2. Notification of Birth Form
    Note: A notification of birth must be made by the parent who is an Israeli citizen. On the basis of this notification an Israeli ID number will be issued to the child.

All applicants must either go to the Consulate or a Notary Public to sign their application in person.
